The LTS 3000 is a new generation construction vessel encompassing OI's vision to deliver quality services to the Oil & gas Sector. The LTS 3000 combines superior functional efficiency with high value facilities for crew, comfort and convenience. The vessel incorporates class leading features of economy, ease of operation, multi task flexibility and a high green profile.
Operational Highlights:
LTS 3000 is an all electric ship operating on three engine generator sets with a nominal electrical power load of < 5.3 MW.
This power load applies to both Heavy Lift operations to 3000 tons and for pipelay operations with pipes 6" to 60" diameter and in water depth of 150 meters.
Energy Efficiency:
LTS 3000 incorporates a host of systems, engineered from the ground up to maximize effectiveness. these include systems for energy management, waste heat recovery, power regeneration, power management and integrated automation systems. The engineering also covers insulation, isolation, air conditioning and domestic hot water systems.
Chilled Water cooling systems have been specified, using step less controlled high efficiency marine chillers.
Cabins and accommodation Fire suppression is achieved with low pressure water mist fire fighting systems. These advanced water mist systems also protect the engine rooms.
Power Systems:
The vessel's power system is Wartsila's Low Loss Concept (LLC) electrical power system. this system operates at 690 Volts, 3 Phase, 50 Hz, 12 pulse, avoiding the need for 6.6 KV systems, switchboards, power transformers and crew certifications.
The LLC system substantially reduces parasitic power losses from multiple local transformers and their support systems and achieves industry standard harmonic distortion levels.
Speed:
LTS 3000 has been designed to achieve transit speeds of up to 11 knots, allowing much reduced transit times during mobilization and demobilization.
