There is adequate evidence that the corporate world is full of examples of incredible acts of philanthropy. Of these there can only be countably few that are as illustrious as that of Alex Von Furstenburg in terms of how diverse are the causes that he has helped to fund. It comes as a surprise to many that Alex has gained considerable repute from his humanitarian work while he has so many other claims to fame that it seems he has almost gone out of his way to mask. These include considerable personal and family wealth, a prodigious career in the corporate world despite his being only 40 years old and an ancient bloodline.

A detailed examination of the involvement of Alex Von Furstenburg in charity work reveals that he has spent some considerable fortune to fund educational initiatives. He has justified this apparent preoccupation from the fact that he feels his incredible success owes largely to his having received a good education. He has as well seen his children attend the prestigious Curtis School in Los Angeles. He has therefore recently contributed $1 million in a bid to offer needy children scholarships to attend the same institution and therefore get a head-start he believes is the right of every child.

It is as well instructive about his commitment that he has contributed generously to fund educational and research programs in his Almer Mater, the Browns University. His educational commitments met with his other passion in the arts when he had the opportunity to aid the NYU’s Tish School of the Arts.
